Another successful event comes to a close. And this was truly successful in so many ways. First and foremost is raising awareness in the fight against Multiple Sclerosis. Trust me when I say, the National Chapter of the National MS Society is overwhelmed at what we’ve accomplished in only three years. There are so many people who see our involvement in the Walk MS each year and cannot believe we have generated this much support in such a short time.
Secondly, is the amount of money we have raised towards research and treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. When South Riding Dance Academy presented Team Stanton with their donation from the proceeds of the Nutcracker performance in December, Dave told all of the folks in attendance that they raised the bar in what we could accomplish this year. And that set the stage for where we are today. In recorded donations we are currently at $14,244.50. With the donations that were brought to today’s event, I honestly believe we will exceed $15,000 this year – bringing our three year tally to over $35,000. No one person could do this alone and I have everyone who has participated to thank for their efforts.
With literally hundreds of people on the walk route today, it was obvious who WE were. Our team proudly wearing their Team Stanton T-shirts and sporting their bright orange rally towels. From the cheers during the photo op to the final good byes, we were there in force.
Where do we go from here? With the support of our friends, family and co-workers (who have become more friends to me than you can imagine), I’m convinced we’re going to see an end to MS. And just like everyone who suffers from MS everyday, I’m going to push even harder to make that happen.
We had the words “Making a Difference” printed on our t-shirts and rally towels this year. Today they became more than words, they became a belief – we are making a difference.
With heartfelt appreciation, Thank You for everything you have done.4.9.12 Team Stanton – 2012 Walk MS Update
With less than one week until our Walk in Reston, we have made outstanding progress in our fundraising efforts. And we have you to thank.
As you know, we set our 2012 Goal at $10,000 (as we did in the past two years). But that didn’t stop us from climbing even higher!!! As of today, for 2012, Team Stanton has raised over $12,500 towards the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
Maybe we should stop here???? Absolutely NOT!!! To know that we have raised over $32,000 since 2010 helping those with MS, I can’t help but to try even harder.
We’re fighting AND making a difference every day.
Thank you again for your continued support.

We are so proud of what Team Stanton has accomplished in the past couple of years. And I humbly realize that I could not have made this difference alone. Your continued support of the National MS Society in funding the research to conquer MS is sincerely appreciated.

2.19.12 Team Stanton MS Walk 2012 Update in our quest to CRUSH MS
We began our 2012 journey just four short weeks ago. As of today, we are 55% of the way to our goal with $5,486 raised to date!!! This is truly an amazing start – but we still have a long way to go. And trust me, with your help, we will succeed!!!
I never expected to embrace a mission making such a difference to someone I love so much. Knowing what Dave silently endures each and every day, I stand proudly in our efforts, with the whole world watching. Kaitlin and I formed Team Stanton for a reason – to make difference. We can only do it with your support – which you continue to prove every day.
The sincere appreciation in Dave’s eyes each and every time a donation is made is overwhelming. To know that we have so many folks behind us is an unbelievable experience.
Thank you so much for all of your support and helping us make a difference.

With you behind us, Team Stanton Rocks!!!
1.29.2012 Team Stanton is ready to CRUSH MS in 2012!!!!
As many of you know, in December 2009, my husband Dave was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Since then it has been our family’s mission to do more in the fight against MS. Understanding the severe physical and emotional distress Dave deals with on a daily basis has been our constant driving force.
For those of you not familiar with our quest in the fight against MS, upon Dave’s diagnosis, I felt entirely helpless. I struggled to figure out what I could do – knowing that I had to do something. After countless hours of research, I determined that the National MS Society is the leader in sponsoring research and service programs. So, Kaitlin and I formed Team Stanton and made our inaugural mark in the 2010 MS Walk in Reston – raising nearly $10,000 in 2010.
With our friends and family with us, we continued the effort in 2011 and raised OVER $20,000 in the two years combined!!!! It has been truly awesome to see the amount of love and support we continue to receive. And here I thought our initial goal of $500 was going to be challenging…
As we enter our third year of fundraising, I’m convinced MS has met its match. Team Stanton is geared up and ready to go for Walk MS on Sunday, April 15th in Reston, VA. Our goal, $10,000!!!! And we are off to a phenomenal start. We have had two (behind the scenes) fundraisers (The Nutcracker, Movements for MS (by South Riding Dance Academy) & Scentsy (by Tiny Toes)). Those efforts alone have raised over $3,300!! A personal thank you to everyone who helped made these events such a success!!
But, if we’re going to have another strong year, we need your support! CLICK HERE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!! And remember, every dollar counts toward finding a cure and keeping everyone with MS on the move.
For those of you that are more serious in helping the fight against MS, we want you to join us on Team Stanton. To walk with Team Stanton click here! And you can also raise funds too. Everyone is welcome to join us on the walk and we can make a difference together. Last year we had over 60 walkers wearing our Team Stanton T-Shirts and we were a force that was noticed by all. For 2012, we will have another gift (courtesy of Team Stanton) to ensure everyone knows who we are – and trust me, there will be shock and awe when they see us…
Each year we are surrounded by so many generous friends and family and we are extremely grateful. I am excited about what we can do again this year for those suffering with Multiple Sclerosis.
We sincerely believe that awareness is where it all begins. And awareness will END MS.
I look forward to 2012 being a truly eventful year for all of us.
